a. Information You Provide Directly

Student information: Student’s first name, grade level, subjects needing assistance, and academic goals.
Payment information: Billing name, address, and payment card details. Payment transactions are processed by Stripe, and we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Communications: Messages sent through our contact forms, emails, or in-session chat features.
Session notes: Notes or summaries from tutoring sessions, to the extent generated or stored through our platform.

Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and time spent on pages.

This section applies to the collection of personal information from or about students under the age of 13 (“Children”). All account registration for students under 13 must be completed by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years of age.
4b. Information We Collect About Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from Children without prior verifiable parental consent. When a parent or guardian registers a Child for our Services, we collect only the minimum information necessary, including:
The Child’s first name (used to personalize sessions only);
The Child’s grade level and subject areas for tutoring;
Session history and tutor notes related to the Child’s academic progress;
Device and usage data generated when the Child accesses the platform (e.g., IP address, session duration).
We do not collect a Child’s last name, personal email address, phone number, social media information, or any information beyond what is necessary to provide the Services.
4c. Parental Consent Process
Before we collect, use, or disclose personal information about a Child, we will provide a direct notice to the parent or guardian describing what information we collect and how it is used, and we will request verifiable parental consent. We will not collect personal information from a Child until verifiable consent has been received.
To provide verifiable parental consent, parents or guardians may:
Online Consent: Complete the consent checkbox and submit the registration form. By submitting, the parent or guardian confirms they are the legal parent or guardian of the student and consents to the collection and use of the Child’s information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Email Consent: Send an email from your registered parent email address to brightsproutstutor@gmail.com
with the subject line “Parental Consent – [Student First Name]” stating: “I am the parent/legal guardian of [Student First Name] and I consent to Bright Sprouts LLC collecting and using my child’s personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.”
4d. Parental Rights
Parents and legal guardians have the right to:

Request deletion of their Child’s personal information at any time;

4e. Inadvertent Collection
If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a Child under 13 without proper parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. Under the Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA), Fla. Stat. § 501.171, and other applicable Florida laws, Florida residents have the following rights:
