Optional Proctored Final Assessment
For families who need a proctored Star assessment, virtual proctoring is available for your child's final assessment.

Recurring Bright Sprouts Family Discount
Families currently enrolled in recurring Bright Sprouts tutoring sessions receive $10 off per student on either assessment package.

Available assessments may include Star Early Literacy, Star Reading, and Star Math. The appropriate assessment will depend on your child’s age, grade level, and testing needs.
When Should My Child Complete Star Testing?
Families who choose full-year access are encouraged to complete testing three times during the school year:
Beginning of the Year
Establish a baseline and identify skills your child is ready to develop. Tutors also receive access to these results to help guide instruction and create a more targeted learning plan from the very start.
Middle of the Year
Measure progress and determine whether learning plans or support should be adjusted. Tutors use updated data to refine instruction and address any emerging learning gaps in real time.
End of the Year
Review overall academic growth and prepare for the next school year. Tutors can use end-of-year results to reflect on progress and plan next steps for continued growth.
Families completing Star testing solely for an annual scholarship requirement may only need one testing period. Requirements can vary, so families should confirm what applies to their specific scholarship program.
One-Week Access provides seven consecutive days of access to complete your child's Star assessment. It's a great option for families who need a single assessment or are completing an annual testing requirement.
Full-Year Access provides access for an entire year, allowing your child to complete Star assessments up to three times. We recommend testing at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year to monitor academic growth over time.

Can I use Step Up For Students scholarship funds?

Eligible families may be able to use Step Up For Students scholarship funds for Star assessments. Please search “Bright Sprouts” in EMA and reserve the appropriate funds. After you have reserved your funds you will receive an email from us with next steps.

After testing, you'll receive your child's Star reports, providing valuable information about academic strengths, areas for growth, instructional level, and overall progress.
Can siblings share an assessment package?
