What to Expect During Your Evaluation

Once you submit your portfolio through our evaluation form, a certified Florida teacher will review:

• Your student's portfolio samples

• Additional evidence of learning and educational activities

• Parent reflection responses

• Student reflection responses

• Your student's reading sample or show-and-tell recording

Unlike traditional in-person evaluations, there is no need to schedule a meeting. Families can complete the entire process on their own time and from the comfort of home.

Students who read independently will submit a short reading sample. Students who are not yet reading independently may instead submit a brief show-and-tell recording about a favorite book, project, hobby, activity, or something they learned during the school year.

After all required materials have been received and reviewed, families will receive their signed evaluation letter.
